The area of Piazzale Michelangelo is famous for it’s view therefore it is very ideal for important moments. Given that it is a very famous touristic spot, planning a proposal here comes with careful consideration of all details. Tuscany

To do a surprise proposal in typical Tuscan countryside environment with rolling hills and cypress trees is magical, however it comes with logistic questions regarding how you are going to get there.
The options are the following:
  • Staying for at least one night in a countryside resort which has beautiful garden
  • Renting a car from Florence
  • Renting a private driver from Florence
Each of these options are coming with different logistics and price variations.

As your photographer in Florence, I’ll work closely with you to help you choose the ideal location for your proposal. We’ll discuss your vision, preferences, and any special significance you may have in mind for the location. Whether you’re drawn to iconic landmarks like the Ponte Vecchio or prefer a secluded garden setting, I’ll provide recommendations and insights to ensure that your chosen spot is both beautiful and meaningful.

The recommended starting time changes throughout the year. In any case I strongly recommend to avoid mid day when the sun is too strong (that is when Italians are taking their siesta 🙂). Generally, I prefer late afternoons and sunsets as they offer a more orange/warm light combined with blue sky. Afternoon or mid-day is recommended though at late autumn/winter when the light is softer and warmer anyway.

I know that some people prefer the early morning to avoid the crowd but there are some locations in Florence which are specifically more beautiful at sunset than at the morning. With years of experience I know how to avoid the crowd in any circumstances and have stunning family photos even in challenging environments. In addition to light, experience proves that kids (up to 20 years old) are more tired and sleepy at the morning than at the afternoons due to jetlag so it’s a lot of pressure on them to wake up early, dress up nicely and smile when they feel exhausted.

Planning a surprise proposal requires careful coordination and discretion. We’ll work together to create a believable cover story to get your partner to the proposal spot without arousing suspicion. I’ll also coordinate with you beforehand to ensure that I’m in position to capture the moment discreetly. We can communicate in WhatsApp if you have any doubts reaching the spot.

In all the above cases your partner will have no idea that a photographer is around and ready so the surprise is more probable.

In some situations, it is a good idea to come up with the idea of booking a photographer and doing a photoshoot together – simply to have romantic holiday pictures. In this case your partner will have the chance to dress up nicely. Another advantage of this solution is that I can position you better for the big moment and give you a secret sign about when to pop the question.

Absolutely! Florence is full of hidden gems and romantic hideaways that are perfect for proposals. Whether you’re looking for a quiet corner in a historic neighborhood or a panoramic view of the city skyline, I can suggest several unique locations that are off the beaten path and offer a more intimate setting for your special moment.

It depends on the location and time of day you choose for your proposal. Some spots may be more secluded and intimate, while others may have more foot traffic. I’ll work with you to choose a location and time that minimizes the chances of interruptions or distractions, ensuring that your proposal remains intimate and private.

It’s completely normal to feel nervous about proposing in public! We can choose a location that feels private and intimate, or if you prefer I can help you to book exclusive private locations too to ensure privacy.

As a pro tip, I highly recommend getting a SLIM ring box that fits much more discreetly and comfortably in your luggage and pocket.

As your photographer, my priority is to capture the genuine emotions and reactions of the moment without disrupting the surprise. Having people around with a camera in their hand is not uncommon in Florence so I can easily blend in any environment acting as if I would just taking pictures of the scenery.

Absolutely! After your proposal, we can plan a romantic post-proposal photoshoot to capture your love and excitement against the backdrop of Florence’s stunning scenery. I offer different length packages for this reason.

  • First of all, please BRING THE RING!
  • Bring your cell phone so that you can contact me if you get lost or if you’re running late.
  • A small bottle of water is also recommended during the hot summer months to avoid dehydration.
  • Sunglasses can also be handy in case of strong sun.
  • Do not bring a big bag full of passports, cameras, and other valuable items that you might keep on you.  When you go down on your knees you’ll have to set that bag down and it will be unattended.

Tuscany is the land of sunshine with lot of sunny hours even at Winter. In some special occasions, a light rain or cloudy skies can create unique images. In case of very bad weather though it is possible to reschedule your session. For this reason it is highly recommended not to schedule your session for the last day of your visit. The day before your session I’ll check our local and reliable weather forecast provider and contact you if needed. (So please don’t forget to give me your phone number during booking.)

If your session can not be re-scheduled due to very bad weather or other force major events, your booking deposit will be refunded.

Traveling can be challenging sometimes. Lost luggage, canceled flight, rescheduled tours or other issues might force you to change your plans. First of all, it is important to embrace all these changes with a positive attitude. Adventure is part of the fun and Italy will teach you how to enjoy the Dolce Vita with a flexible mindset. As a photographer who works in the tourism industry, I understand all of these struggles so I offer the possibility to reschedule your session for free if needed. (It is subject of availability though but I always do my best to accommodate all needs.)

After the proposal, we’ll take some time to capture additional photos of you and your partner celebrating the moment. Once the session is complete, I’ll carefully curate and edit the images to ensure that they reflect the beauty and emotion of the occasion. You’ll receive a digital gallery of high-resolution images that you can download and share with your loved ones, as well as options for printing.

The Most Amazing Day Of My Life!!!

Eva did a phenomenal job with this surprise engagement shoot!!! So here I am thinking we were taking these pictures as a way to end our wonderful time here in Florence, only to my surprise that Eva and my now Fiance had already planned this all out, and were just trying to figure on the perfect location where he could propose lol, and silly me was totally oblivious to the fact that I’m actually on my engagement shoot. OMG! What a surprise that was!!! This was hands down the most unexpected, exciting amazing and confusing day of my life OMG! We were left with some of the most amazing memories and experiences I could have ever imagined. I cannot say enough about what an amazing job she did, every thing was came out so beautifully! Eva was great! Eva captured our surprise proposal and then a session directly afterwords. She knew Florence very well so she was able to help pick a spot for the proposal with a great view that would work logistically.
